My "Home Poncho"

Hi! This crochet poncho that I have started was designed by Lucy of Attic24. It has many colourful stripes in double crochet with every third row designed to have gaps created by chaining 1. Since Lucy has not published a pattern for the poncho I had to fly by the seat of my pants and wing it! It is going well so far, and does actually fit, so I guess I am doing something right!
The yarn I am using is mostly Stylecraft Special DK with some others thrown in, I think I have 10 colours in total. Here is an up-close...
I have been very busy today updating the blog with all my projects since January! Most are crocheting but quilting is on the agenda too! I am hoping to finish the poncho soon so that you can see the whole thing!

Blanket Turned Pillow...

Hello!! After finishing the Cosy CAL Blanket from Attic24 I started the Mixed Stripey Blanket by Little Woolie. It is also a very colourful blanket which uses all different types of stitches in its pattern, and the edging is very neat because it folds over all of your ends so you don't have to sew any of them in! I loved making the blanket very much, but I turned it into a pillow instead! Here it is...
I have to say it goes quite well with my Cosy Blanket. I added a scalloped edging to join the edges around the pillow...
It is very comfy! And also very warm! Itshould serve me well for many years!

Finished Cosy CAL

Remembering way back on Christmas Day, 2014, when I started this project brings some very happy memories. This blanket by Lucy of Attic24 was one of the most fun projects I have ever done, and increased my love of crocheting so much, while also really teaching me the basics of the craft. In this blanket I really love the colours! (15 in total) I love the way it looks, and how it fits perfectly on my bed along with my new quilt!
The colours are the exact same used by Lucy (she sells them in a yarn pack on the wool warehouse UK website). The only thing differing from hers is the blanket's edging, in which I changed the colours.
I love this blanket so much that I could start another one right this second! Thanks to Lucy for the free pattern and step by step instructions with photos too! Happy crocheting!

My New Bed Quilt!

Recently I just finished the quilt for my bed while spending the month at my grandma's cottage. It consists of nine-patches in neutrals and bright colours (which I personally love!).  It is called "Tone It Down", designed by Lissa Alexander, and here is a picture of it...

The first is an up-close of the quilting and the second is of the entire quilt on my bed. It is four blocks wide by five long. You should have seen me trying to quilt the thing on my grandma's little sewing machine because it is HUGE! The binding and actually the entire quilt are scrappy since I raided my mum's stash. I am really happy with the way it turned out! Hope you like it!

New Crochet Project!

So I have started to crochet a new scarf in variegated and white cotton yarn in a chevron pattern. It's really pretty and I'm really excited to finish it up!

Folding Wallet!

Another project I just finished was this wallet...
It's really neat and holds all the stuff I have to carry around! It has many pockets, a zipper, Velcro, credit card holders, and even vinyl!

My Cosy CAL Blanket....

So, me and my mum have joined the crochet along at Attic24, which is this really cool, colourful blanket! You can find it on the Attic24 blog. Here are my first 18 colours! This blanket will be one of my big undertakings for the new year, I hope you like it!
